Department of Physics – Introduction

The Department of Physics started its journey when B.Sc. general course was initiated during 1923-24. The Honours course started in 1969, the same year in which the birth centenary of Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal was celebrated. Now this Department occupies a very important and prestigious position in the College, with very good students studying here, many learned/reputed teachers serving since the time of its inception, and adequate infrastructural facility.
