Extension Activities of the Acharya Brojendra Nath Seal College Library Cooch Behar 2017 – 2018

The A.B.N. Seal College Library, Cooch Behar arranged several programmes as Library Extension Activities throughout the year and on the occasion of Annual Day Celebration :

(i) Chitrapat and Anandamela:

The Central Library organized ‘Chitrapat’ : a drawing workshop on Patachitra on 9th & 10th September, 2017 in the Central Library Reading Room. Sri Aniruddha Palit, Srijani Visual & Performing Art College, Patakura, Cooch Behar acted as an instructor of that workshop. Thirty three students, teachers, relatives of teaching and non-teaching staff and an alumnus participated in the workshop and drew patachitra on cloth or paper or clay medium. In connection to that workshop, ‘Anandamela’ : an Exhibition-cum-Sell of Art and Craft items and Food, was held at college premises on 13th and 14th September 2017. Fifty six students, teachers gave total 15 stalls in Anandamela. Two programmes were highly appreciated and became very successful with the help of the teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of the college.

(ii) Book Exhibition:

Exhibition of Books on and by Women for celebrating Women’s Day 2018 from 16th to 17th March 2018 in the Reading Room of the Central Library.

(iii) Sit and Draw Competition

• Sit and Draw Competition for the Children of Teaching and non-teaching staff of the College on the 11th August 2018.

• Sit and Draw Competition for the Students of the College on the 25th August 2018.
